The Neighborhood Vitality and Beautification Grant program provides matching grant funds to support Plano neighborhood groups in building strong relationships around a community-driven initiative. The program provides matching grants to neighborhood groups interested in building strong relationships around a community-driven beautification project. The grant provides an incentive to encourage neighborhood groups to develop initiatives that will improve the physical aesthetics of Plano neighborhoods.
Program goals include:
- Enhance physical condition of Plano’s neighborhoods
- Increase pride and neighborhood identity
- Increase community building and participation
All projects must:
- Support neighborhood goals
- Be highly visible from the public realm
- Have a community benefit
- Enlist community participation
- Result in an enhancement of the neighborhood appearance
- Be within the City of Plano limits
