The mission of the Young Leaders Fund is to support organizations that give young adults (ages 21- 35) in Duluth and Superior a chance to lead or improve the quality of life for young adults. Priority is given to projects that provide financial assistance for leadership skill development, civic engagement, special events, entrepreneurship, technology, public relations, college and university community connections and awareness of career and economic opportunities.
Funding Information
Grants range from $500 to $7,500 but special situations may allow for a larger grant to be awarded.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for funding, an organization must:
- Be classified as a charitable organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; or classified as a public entity (i.e. school, body of government) to which contributions may be deducted under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Be located in and/or provide services to residents within Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin
