Funding Information
- The Outride Fund grant is up to $15,000, disbursed in one lump sum.
- The Outride Fund is a one year grant and grantees are required to submit an impact report due one year after award distribution.
The fund work that
- Identifies specific goals and objectives that are aligned with our mission and can be effectively measured to evaluate success
- Has clear strategies or programs to achieve those goals
- Builds an equitable, inclusive, and diverse cycling community
- Is done by organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
- Is focused on youth development (under age 25)
The foundation can not be funded
- political campaigns
- Individuals
- bike advocacy/policy initiatives
- programs not focused on cycling
- programs focused on cycling but not focused on its impact on social, emotional, and cognitive health or expanding equity and access
- K-12 school districts, government agencies, or national nonprofits with a budget greater than $5M
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations eligible to receive a grant must be:
- An entity based in the United States and/or US Territories under section 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) or (2) or Type I or Type II supporting organizations under section 501(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”) that has received a tax determination letter (“Tax Letter”) from the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) and which Tax Letter is in effect.
- A fiscally sponsored nonprofit organization and the fiscal sponsor has a Tax Letter in effect.
