The North Shore Giving Circle of Chicago Foundation for Women (NSGC) is a group of Chicago-area women who combine their funds to address the needs of women and girls in the northern suburbs.
NSGC is member led and driven. The Giving Circle is a fund of Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW), and and thereby follows the Foundation’s grantmaking framework with the support of the Foundation.

Grants will range from $7,500 to $15,000.
Project Period
Funds awarded are a one-year grant for work being done between July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be a 501c3 or have a fiscal agent with a 501c3
- Organizations must have an operating budget of at least $100,000
- Primary service area is in Cook County, north of the City of Chicago and east of highway 43, and all of Lake County.
- Current and past grantees of NSGC may apply
- Current CFW grantees may apply, however, preference will be given to organizations not currently funded through one of the Foundation’s other grant programs
- Organization aligns with CFW’s five Guiding Principles:
