Generation Now Circle is a new giving circle at Rose Community Foundation comprised of a diverse group of young adults ages 25-40 years old. Generation Now Circle has an open funding opportunity for nonprofit organizations in the Greater Denver region that support families and individuals who are at risk of eviction or losing their housing.
This funding will support direct services and advocacy work that addresses the spectrum of housing assistance. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Eviction and foreclosure housing and/or utility assistance
- Legal defense
- Landlord and tenant mediation
- Tenant rights education and assistance
- Mobile homeowner rights education and assistance
- Advocacy, policy, and systems change
Funding Information
- Total funding available: Approximately $44,000
- Foundation anticipates making 5 or less total grants
- Grant duration: One year
- Types of support:
- General Operating Support – for organizations where most of their work connects to the purpose of this RFP
- Program or Project Support – for projects or work within organizations where a substantial amount of their work does not connect to the purpose of this RFP.
- They understand that there are overhead costs to running a program; please include any rent, utilities, staffing, insurance, etc. when considering your funding request.
- Funding amounts:
- Individual grants will be awarded up to $15,000
- They seek to fund organizations with programs across the spectrum of budgets.
- Please note that because of limited funding available it is likely that not all grant requests will be funded and it is possible that not all amount requests be funded at the full amount.
Who and where does Foundation want to impact?
For purposes of this RFP, they seek to fund organizations that support:
- Families with children
- Single parents, pregnant and/or parenting youth
- BIPOC individuals and families
- People with disabilities and neurodiverse individuals
- Immigrants and refugees
- LGBTQ+ individuals
- First-generation high school and college graduates
- Individuals experiencing addiction to alcohol and/or substances

- Commitment to advancing equity across gender, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, income, intellectual and physical ability and geography
- Diverse perspectives and experiences in program leadership, design, implementation and community engagement that informs the organization’s work.
- Executive leadership, board and staff are representative of communities the organization serves
- Financial stability of the organization
Eligibility Criteria
- This opportunity is open to nonprofit organizations, schools/school districts, government agencies or fiscally sponsored projects in the seven-county Greater Denver region of Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties.
- Organizations with a current grant or pending grant request to Rose Community Foundation may also apply for this grant opportunity. Organizations may only submit one application in response to this request for proposals. In cases where two or more organizations are partnering on a program or project, one organization should submit a single proposal on behalf of the partnership.
