Grants are available for small projects that address or improve stormwater, drainage, water quality, and habitats within the Nisqually watershed (WRIA11). Projects may include watershed education, enhancement and restoration activities, and purchase of signage, equipment or supplies.
Funding Information
The maximum grant amount is $2,500 per project, but you are encouraged to apply for less if your project does not require the full amount. The total available funding for the 2023 grant cycle is $13,750. Award decisions will be announced in May, and funds distributed in June.
Eligible Applicants
Projects must be located within Pierce County and in the Nisqually watershed boundaries (WRIA11). PreK-16 schools, Tribes, local agencies, nonprofit organizations, students, teacher, and businesses may apply. Thanks to administration provided by the Nisqually River Council, the grant funds will be made available upon award. Expense receipts are required.
