The Morgan Community Fund is a not-for-profit community fund that is managed and operated by a board of directors made up of local volunteers who believe in the future of Morgan County children. The Fund was established in 2008 with contributions from people in Morgan County who left part of their estates or made cash contributions to the Morgan Community Fund. All the money they receive stays in Morgan County and supports extra-curricular programs.

MCF and FAO’s I’m a Child of Appalachia® Fund will award up to $10,000 in grants to projects or programs that benefit residents of Morgan County across five areas essential to generating and sustaining transformative change: Arts & Culture; Community & Economic Development; Education; Environmental Stewardship; and Health & Human Services. Projects should increase quality of life, create access to opportunities or implement a solution to a need in Morgan County.

- Public organizations include public school districts, government subdivisions like municipalities, and other entities that are audited through the Auditor of State.
- Groups without either status but working in fiscal agent partnership with either a nonprofit or public entity, are eligible to apply but will be asked to identify the specific fiscal agent partnership.
