Kansas City Social Venture Studio is a six-month program that is custom-designed for social entrepreneurs to grow their business and increase their community impact.
Programming includes business mentoring, cohort peer connections, curriculum focused on social impact, technical assistance, and more.
Selected Entrepreneurs Commitment:
- They ask that you remain open to feedback and business support
- Commitment to create change in social, racial, and/or environmental arenas
- Participate in programming from May-October 2022 (estimated 15-20 hours a month including events, mentor sessions, pitching opportunities)
- Organizations will operate in Kansas City, Missouri for a minimum of one year post-program completion
Funding Information
Selected companies will receive a grant ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
SVS seeks social entrepreneurs with a compelling business model solving social, racial, and/or environmental problems. SVS will have a diverse cohort of leaders, including candidates who are BIPOC and/or female led.
- Full-time CEO of the organization
- Minimum viable product with revenue under $3 million
- Company legal status can be LLC, 501c3, L3C, etc. (no limitations, but cannot be solely dependent on philanthropy)
- Businesses are located in or are willing to relocate to Kansas City, Missouri
