Bringing attention to these issues is critical and the IWMF is providing funding to support and encourage quality reporting on these topics in the United States. Priority will be given to reporting projects based in states that would be most affected by the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants may be freelance or staff journalists and may apply individually or as part of a team:
- If applying as an individual, the opportunity is open to women and nonbinary journalists.
- Teams of journalists with at least 50% women and nonbinary journalists are also eligible to apply.
- Journalism must be the applicant’s primary profession.
- Applicants must have three (3) or more years of professional journalism experience. Internships do not count toward professional experience.
- Applicants must be able to show proof of interest from an editor or have a proven track record of publication in prominent media outlets.
- Applicants may apply in English or Spanish, but English is strongly preferred. The published work can be in any language.
- Applicants must be based or currently in the United States.
