The City of Bloomington, in partnership with Bloomington Arts Commission, seeks to fund emerging artists and artist groups to create public-facing events and activities that create stronger connections among Bloomington residents.

Funding Information
- Grants are up to $2,000 and require no matching funds from the grantee.
Eligibility Criteria
- Artists should be age 18 and up and may or may not have formal training in their artistic discipline.
- Artists may work individually or in collaborative groups with other emerging artists.
- Activities must take place within Bloomington city limits.
- Funds must be spent by December 31, 2023.
Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Organizational Capacity – Does your project have a clear plan and outcomes and a plan to achieve them?
- Community Impact – Is your project addressing a community need? Does it engage in larger community dialogues?
- Equity and inclusion – How does this project employ principles of equity, inclusion, and diversity?
