The Home Depot Foundation has announced the 2021 Community Impact Grant Program to improve the homes of U.S. veterans, support communities impacted by natural disasters and train skilled tradespeople to fill the labor gap.

Grants are given in the form of The Home Depot gift cards for the purchase of tools, materials or services and are required to be completed within six months of approval date.
Types of Projects
- Housing modifications/repair projects for vulnerable and underserved populations (projects serving veterans or in response to disasters will receive priority).
- Veteran service organization projects directly impacting the lives of veterans.
Additional project requirements:
- Projects must empower local volunteers of all skill levels to make a lasting impact in their community.
- The project must begin within six to twelve weeks of application submission and be completed within the following six months. Please time your submission accordingly.
- Team Depot projects involving store associates are not eligible for Community Impact Grants.
Funding Information
The Foundation offers grant awards up to $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- 501(c)(3) designated organizations recognized by and in good standing with the IRS for a minimum of one year.
- Tax-exempt public service agencies in the U.S. using the power of volunteers to improve the community .
