The Idaho Dental Foundation supports improved oral health for Idaho’s underserved citizens through education and access to care.
Funding Information
Typical grant awards are in the range of, but not limited to, $1,000 to $2,500 and are on a onetime basis. No requestor should assume that receipt of a grant implies continued support in future years. Preference will be given to projects where an IDF grant will make a significant impact.
Grants will be awarded based upon the alignment of proposal objectives with the Foundation’s Funding Objectives and the ideals of Idaho Dental Foundation, and upon the quality of your organization and management. Priority may be given to programs not substantially funded from other sources. Grant awards will be based solely on your grant application and concrete examples of your organization’s work in the community.
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations principally active in the state of Idaho who address one or more of the Foundation’s funding objectives. The funding objectives of the Foundation are to provide the highest beneficial return to Idaho through:
- Projects that improve the oral health of Idaho uninsured
- Projects that increase the oral health of Idaho working poor
The Foundation will not consider grant proposals to fund:
- Salaries, other than those which are incidental to and a minimal part of the overall grant request.
- Consultant fees
- Fellowships
- Endowments
- Cash reserves
- Travel outside of Idaho
- Political campaigns
- Public policy research and/or advocacy
- General operations
- Fundraising expenses
- Accumulation followed by subsequent granting to other organizations.
