This year, proposals for e-books are encouraged and welcomed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Specifically, funds may be used to purchase works in the following genres:
- Nonfiction
- Biographies
- History
- Arts
- Humanities
Funds may not be used for any other purposes or genres and may not be used to purchase text books or books for specific classes.
Funding Information
- The Jerrold B. Whitney/Clayton Pinkerton Fund awards grants of up to $750 to adding books to libraries’ general or special collections.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration, organizations must:
- Be located in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and/or Yolo counties.
- Be considered a 501(c)(3) public charity, 501(c)(3) private operating foundation or be fiscally-sponsored by an organization that meets this requirement.
