The GCC funds exemplary artists, arts organizations, and provides programs, events and services of public value that educate and engage all audiences in their community. The GCC provides access to the arts for people of all cultural backgrounds, economic status, sexual orientation, age and physical ability and ensures broad public access to the arts. They further believe in and maintain high standards of management and governance as directed by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and their Town’s Selectmen, which support the health and vibrancy of the arts community.

Local Guidelines
The Georgetown Cultural Council (GCC) requires all Grant Applications that propose being onsite at a venue that the applicant includes documentation from said venue that states they want the activity to take place in their venue i.e. if you say your event will take place at the Georgetown Library, you include documentation from the Georgetown Library endorsing said event.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must reside or be located in Massachusetts. Local Cultural Councils may accept applications from anyone included in the following list:
- Individuals
- Incorporated private nonprofit organizations
- Unincorporated associations that can establish a nonprofit objective
- Public schools, libraries, other municipal agencies, and the Local Cultural Council itself
- Religious organizations.
