The George and Lynna Gene Cook Scholarship was established in 1999 by the Cooks. George and Lynna Gene have been active in the field of education for most of their lives and realize the importance of helping young people.

Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, you must be a current graduating senior or a former graduate of any high school in Nebraska or have successfully completed the GED. Former recipients of the George and Lynna Gene Cook Scholarship may apply. The applicant must have attained a GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent on a 4.0 scale and be pursuing a degree in ministry or education at any qualified college or university in the United States. Preference will be given to applicants who are members of First Church of God congregations that are affiliated with the Anderson, Indiana church body.
Required with Application:
- High school or college transcript(s) (copies of transcripts are acceptable). High school seniors must submit their high school transcript; high school graduates need only submit their college transcripts.
- One (1) reference e-mail address of applicant’s current pastor or other current congregational leader. References will be notified to fill out an online form.
