The Idaho Food Bank Fund provides financial support to nonprofits who provide hunger relief and/or promote healthier eating in their communities. Grant awards help these organizations—which are often volunteer-driven—cover vital costs and activities associated with their work.
New this year, the fund is inviting innovation proposals for a small number of potentially larger grants. These proposals will feature innovative services that address hunger and food insecurity while also improving overall individual, family, and community well-being. Innovation Proposals will likely include collaboration with other service providers and additional funding partners.

Grants will typically range up to $7,500.
Funds can be used to operate programs; purchase food; purchase nutrition education materials; expand capacity (new freezers, shelving, transportation, etc.); or promote access for anyone in need, including underserved and/or marginalized populations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Idaho whose services include hunger-relief.
- Applicants are NOT required to be a member of The Idaho Foodbank partner network, Catholic Charities, or the Idaho Community Action Partnership in order to apply.
