The Library of Congress will expand the connections between the Library and the public and strengthen the use of Library of Congress digital collections. The Library seeks to award grants to support projects that remix and reuse Library digital collections in creative ways and that center the lives, experiences and perspectives of Black, Indigenous, Hispanic or Latino, Asian American and Pacific Islander and/or other communities of color in United States.
Funding Information
For 2022, the Library intends to award three 12-month grants of up to $50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants must be Libraries, Archives or Museums (Organizations);
- A non-profit U.S. Organization, unit of state or local government or federally recognized tribal community or tribe;
- Based in any of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, territories and commonwealths (Puerto Rico,
- Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands);
- Proposing a project to be conducted within the United States or U.S. commonwealth or territory.
Other Eligibility Information
- The Organization shall not submit more than one application under this announcement.
- Successful applicants cannot reapply in subsequent years for the same project.
- Late, incomplete, or ineligible applications will not be considered for funding under this notice.
- An Organization that is a legal component of an institution of higher education is not eligible for award under this Notice but may apply for the funding opportunities available to Higher Ed Institutions.
- An Organization (or if a principal member of an Organization) that has been convicted or found to be at fault in connection to the award or the performance of a Federal grant or contract in the past five years may be disqualified.
