The Community Health Funder Alliance is a funder collaborative in northern New Mexico focused on improving health outcomes and promoting health equity. The Alliance members include Anchorum St. Vincent, CHRISTUS St. Vincent (CSV), and the Santa Fe Community Foundation.
The Community Health Funder Alliance is dedicated to improving health and wellness in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico by strengthening the systems of care that address the most challenging health and social needs in our community.
They welcome grant proposals from organizations that are engaged in direct service, policy advocacy, and/or collaborative efforts to improve outcomes in the following areas:
- Animal Welfare
- Cultural Vibrancy
- Economic Security and Opportunities
- Educational Success and Career Pathways
- Envision Fund (LGBTQ+)
- Native American Advised Fund
- Santa Fe Baby Fund
- Sustainable Agriculture and Stewardship of Resources
Funding Information
You may request $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000, depending on your annual operating budget size, as follows:
- Organizations/projects with an annual budget under $150,000 may apply for a $5,000 grant;
- Organizations/projects with an annual budget between $150,000 and $500,000 may apply for a $10,000 grant;
- Organizations/projects with an annual budget over $500,000, may apply for a $15,000 grant.
Criteria
Key funding criteria for Community Grants include:
- New and existing programs that address community needs and opportunities aligned with CHNA priorities
- Demonstration of focus on results
- Willingness to align programs with collaborative partners and use collaborative approaches in addressing community needs
- Programs serving populations in the seven-county geographic region (Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Taos, Colfax, Mora, Rio Arriba and San Miguel Counties)
- Commitment to equity in target populations served, staff and board composition
- Organizational and financial stability
- 501c3, or has a fiscal sponsor with a 501c3
- Minimum three year history generally recommended
