Priorities
For its FY23 grant cycle, the Fund’s grantmaking will focus on the priority “Health Equity for All.”
Health Equity for All:
The health of Philadelphians has continued to face extraordinary challenges, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the crises of gun violence and opioids bringing tragedies to their communities and families far too often. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic exposed racial, ethnic, and income-based inequities in the delivery of health services and prevention. Health Equity ensures continued access regardless of immigration status, insurance status, and languages spoken, protects the most vulnerable, and ultimately ensures rapid and equitable health and environmental supports.
The Fund believes that achieving health equity for all requires a diverse approach, and interventions may be implemented through a broad lens. They welcome all proposals which meet the eligibility criteria defined below. Requests can be made for operational, programmatic, or capacity building needs.
In line with the City’s approach to Health Equity, the PCF will support proposals that clearly demonstrate efforts to eliminate health disparities, promote the health of Philadelphia’s communities, and safeguard residents from threats the cause disease, injury, and poor health outcomes.
