The goal of this grant program is to provide microgrants to businesses throughout the City of Providence to support economic recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funding Information
Individual grants of $2,500 will be provided to those businesses that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a grant, businesses must:
- Have been established and recognized by the City of Providence by December 31, 2019
- Be in good standing with the City of Providence
- Businesses must be up to date on City taxes, all Department of Licensing requirements, and payment plans
- Have less than $500,000 in tangible property registered with the City of Providence as of December, 31, 2020
- Not received funds and any other financial benefits from the City of $5,000 or more to be eligible
- This includes, but is not limited to, Tax Stabilization Agreements or Community Development Block Grants
- Intend to stay in business for the following 12 months
- Have less than 240 employees
