Grants will be issued to organizations, informal groups, student & parent associations, school clubs, and neighborhood associations to provide summer programs for youth aged 8-24 residing in the City of Long Beach and that are most impacted by crime, COVID-19, poverty, and chronic health conditions.

Grantees will be required to submit a report at the end of their project, including pictures and success stories about your event as follows:
- The following identify reporting requirements that grantees of the Youth100 Fund ($500-level) must submit upon project completion:
- Brief post event/activity summary that will include: # of youth participants
- Pictures of event/activity (optional)
- The following identify reporting requirements that grantees of the Youth100 Fund ($2,000-level) must submit upon project completion:
- Post event/activity summary that will include: # of youth participants; total number of participants; zip code of those served; a summary of expenses and amounts.
- Pictures of event/activity (optional).
Grants cannot be used for uniforms, alcohol, drugs, lobbying, capital purchases, etc.
Funding Information
Grants will range from $500-$2,000 and can be used for purchasing of equipment, food, licensing rights for a movie, general liability insurance for a summer program, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- All youth-serving groups operating within the city limits of Long Beach are eligible to apply to potentially receive funding for projects to be completed by October 14, 2022.
- Organizations will only be able to obtain one mini-grant per group/organization over the course of summer 2022.
