This is a one-time reimbursable grant to go directly towards the purchase of trees to assist homeowners and community organizations with planting or replacing trees caused by storm damage, disease or invasive insects.
Funding for this grant will be provided through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and can be used to purchase, install, stake and mulch the area the tree or trees will be planted.
Qualified applicants will be eligible for a reimbursable grant. These funds will be awarded through a competitive grant review and selection process. Grants are not meant to cover a group’s total project budget, only to supplement the cost of a project. A sales receipt and a copy of the planted tree(s) must be submitted for reimbursement. The grant can be used for planting, installing, staking and mulching around the area the tree(s) will be planted.
Funding Information
Applicants must provide a budget showing the costs to purchase trees and include any matching funds. Grant requests for civic, community, and homeowner associations may not exceed $7,000 and $750 for residential property owners. The grant is not intended to cover the cost of the full project. The grant can be used for planting, installing, staking and mulching around the area the tree(s) will be planted.
