El Paso is one of eight cities in the U.S. selected to participate in the Love Your Block Program, a two-year grant program that supports efforts to spur neighborhood-driven change.
Examples of projects include:
- Neighborhood clean-ups
- Vacant lot clean-up/activation
- Historic preservation project
- Exterior home repairs
- Community art/mural installation
- Miniature reading library
Funding Information
The LYB program provides mini grants ranging from $250 to $2,000 to fund projects designed to address blight and/or neighborhood concerns, improve residents’ quality of life, promote a high level of community engagement and instill community ownership of public spaces.
Eligibility Criteria
Residents, community members, and organizations are invited to apply in support of small-scale, volunteer-led revitalization projects in the targeted neighborhood selected for Year 1 of LYB.
