The City of El Monte’s Guaranteed Income Program is a program that will give 125 eligible City of El Monte residents $500 per month for 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program:
- Must live within El Monte city limits
- Be a single female head of household with no spouse or partner present
- Have children living in the household between ages of 0-17
- Have a verified income at or below the federal poverty line (according to the 2023 U.S. Department of Commerce guidelines)
- Be able to show a need for financial assistance due to being impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic
- Must be able to submit documents verifying school enrollment, proof of residency, proof of income, and a government issued ID
Required Documents
Applicants who are eligible for the program will be required to provide the following documentation:
- Proof of El Monte residency (a driver’s license or a utility bill in your name or a rental agreement, etc.)
- School enrollment form for each school-age child in your household
- Proof of income (Paycheck stubs for the last 2 months for all members of the household)
- Government issued ID (a Driver’s license or a government-issued ID or a passport or a resident alien card, etc.)
- Form indicating all of the public assistance programs in which you are currently participating
