Centre PACT (Philanthropic Actions Created by Teens) is Centre Foundation’s hands-on philanthropy program for high school students in Centre County. Throughout the program, students identify issues affecting their peers, solicit and review grant applications, and distribute grants to local nonprofits that will have a positive impact on youth in their community. Centre PACT students are responsible for developing grant recommendations for the annual distribution from the Foundation’s Centre PACT Fund, a permanent endowment fund which supports this program, as well as conducting fundraising activities in support of their grants.
This year, students are most interested in funding projects or programs that support youth mental health, improve school safety, and/or promote social justice, diversity, and equity, but all types of organizations are encouraged to apply.
