Opening Doors is a funding collaborative designed to lift up disadvantaged individuals, families, and children in the Sioux Falls area. Funding for the collaborative comes from the following endowments –
- Altrusa Endowment – Benefits children and families.
- Barbara Ten Cate Fund for Children – supports children in serious need.
- C.J. Del” and Alene Delbridge Family Endowment – Benefits disadvantaged people living in the Sioux Falls area.
- Charles and Carol Austin Family Endowment for Basic Human Needs – Supports programs that evidence God’s compassion and love through a Christian perspective and that address basic human needs.
- Charles and Carol Austin Family Endowment for Children and Youth – Supports programs that address the needs of children and youth.
- Harold and Carol Warner Family Endowment – Helps meet the basic human needs of disadvantaged people living in the Sioux Falls area.
- Hymen and Nila Pitts Fund for Those in Need – Supports programs that lift up the needy, elderly, or homeless.
- Louis and Joyce Profilet Endowment for Children – Provides grants that benefit children in the Sioux Falls area with special and unmet physical and/or emotional needs.
- Solveig Steen Endowment II – Supports disadvantaged youth, including underprivileged children and children with special needs.
- Wanda Covington Endowment – Benefits children and adults with disabilities with special emphasis on programs that provide enjoyment and recreation.

Criteria
Proposals may be for new or existing programs and must serve those in the greater Sioux Falls area.
