The Miami-Dade County Safe in the 305 grant program (Round 1) is accepting applications to:
- Organize efforts to revitalize or beautify neighborhoods
- Support community interconnection and engagement through neighborhood projects that address blight
Examples include:
- Create and/or expand community gardens
- Neighborhood/block cleanups
- Graffiti removal
The goals of the Safe in the 305 Grant program are to activate community participation in creating safer neighborhoods, amplify the voices of residents and community leaders against violence, build capacity in communities and bridge gaps with neighborhood stakeholders and government to address quality of life issues.
Funding Information
The Safe in the 305 Grant program will award a total of $45,000 in microgrants to applicants seeking awards that range from $500.00 (minimum) to $1,500.00 (maximum).
Eligibility Criteria
Residents, community leaders and advocates, community and faith-based organizations and grassroots groups may apply.
Qualification Requirements
- A resident of, or an organization based in Miami-Dade County (must provide proof of address)
- Applicant must be able to show how their proposal aligns with the objectives of the grant in the current application round
- Proposals must support neighborhood-centered activities and initiatives
- Applicant must have a valid email address to receive and respond to grant-related correspondence
