This City of Long Beach (City) grant opportunity funds Long Beach organizations conducting events aimed at fostering community resilience and creative well-being within Long Beach’s neighborhoods and their community members who historically have not received equitable investments of resources or recognition. This grant program will prioritize small-scale, neighborhood-level, and first-time activations.

- Events must take place from September 2022 to October 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations that are headquartered in Long Beach; and
- Organization must be a nonprofit 501c3, 501c19, or fiscally funded organization; and
- Event entrance must be free and open to the public, although there may be vendors within the event; and
- Events are not currently funded by the Activate LB Cultural Special Events Program OR the ActivateLB City Event Direct Relief, and;
- Organizations must have an active or delinquent Long Beach Business License; and
- Organizers must obtain all necessary permits and comply with any relevant health orders. Please review the Special Event Permits and Fees website in anticipation of submitting your application.
- Not have been a party to a claim or litigation involving the City of Long Beach in the past three years
- Have no active and unresolved code enforcement or COVID-19 Health Order violations
