This award is an unrestricted grant specifically for arts cultural spaces. This part of the Vallejo Arts Fund is specifically interested in making a direct impact on the lives of artists and cultural bearers by investing in new and existing arts cultural spaces with high priorities for spaces outside of downtown Vallejo.
Applicants who apply to the ARTS CULTURAL SPACE GRANT may apply to any other grant category (Youth Arts; BIPOC-Centered Arts & Cultural Practice; Individual Microgrant; and Artist Next Level Projects) but may only be awarded up to two VAF grants.
The Fund seeks to support artistic and cultural work within the performing arts, visual arts, digital and media arts, traditional folk arts, and oral/written storytelling.

Eligible Applicants
- BIPOC-led or -rooted arts and culture organizations, collectives, and individuals seeking funds for new or existing arts and cultural space in Vallejo that centers and supports BIPOC artists, cultural bearers, arts organizers, and their communities. BIPOC artist led-organizations and small businesses are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants applying as individuals must be age 18 or older.
Eligible Grant Proposals
- New or existing Arts & Cultural Spaces in non-downtown parts of Vallejo (including but not limited to South Vallejo, North Vallejo, the Crest, College Park, Millersville, and West Vallejo) are a priority. New Art Spaces in downtown Vallejo are eligible.
- Emerging Art Spaces that nurture and center BIPOC, youth, and/or LGBTQIA communities within their neighborhoods.
