Since 2017 the Idaho Stem Action Center & its partners proudly host 3 regional high school science and engineering fairs for grades 9th-12th across Idaho. Students present their findings at EISEF (Eastern Idaho Science & Engineering Fair) in partnership with Idaho National Laboratory (INL) held at Idaho State University, WISEF (Western Idaho Science & Engineering Fair) in partnership with Micron held at Boise State University, or NISEF (Northern Idaho Science & Engineering Fair) held at Coeur d’Alene Resort.
During the event, students have the opportunity to share their ideas with one another, engage with STEM professionals and compete for over 50 medals/certificates including the Bearden Award a $500 cash prize for females in computer science, and also the chance to attend and compete at the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair in May (all-expense paid).
Funding Information
Max funding: $1000 ($100 per approved student project, up to 10 projects per educator. Limit 30 projects per school).
Eligibility Criteria
Educators who will be teaching in a public high school (grades 9-12) during the 2022-2023 school year.
