Amazon is looking to help accelerate the growth of innovative and exciting new products that offer improved sustainability attributes while also delivering a superior product to the customer.

What they’re looking for?
The Products for Tomorrow Awards are open to any type of physical product that meets their criteria. They are judging applications based off customer appeal and how the product’s design considers its sustainability impact. To answer these questions, their judges will be considering:
- Performance: How effective is your product at solving a customer need?
- Innovation: Does your product solve a customer need in an interesting way that hasn’t been done before?
- Need: Is your product solving a need that most customers have at a price that they can afford?
- Sustainability: Does shifting to your product lessen the customer’s environmental impact?

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who at the time of application:
- are the older of 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in their state of residence;
- are the registered brand owner of a small or medium sized business (according to the Gartner definition of small business as an entity with annual revenue of $50 million or under) headquartered in the United States with an existing physical consumer product that is available for sale to the public;
- have a valid trademark for the brand;
- and are under $5,000,000 in trailing 12 months (TTM) gross merchandise sale (GMS) (each, an “Eligible Brand”).
- This Contest is not open to independent contractors, or immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren) or those living in the same household of employees or independent contractors of Amazon.com Services LLC (“Sponsor”), or any entity involved in any aspect of the Contest (including funding, judging or administration), and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advisors, or advertising/promotion agencies.
Criteria
They are looking for innovations in design, technology, or chemistry that create a highly effective product with sustainability attributes. They want to show customers that they do not have to choose between an incredible, highly effective products and improved sustainability – they can have both.
- Product: Must be a physical product that customers will love and have demonstrable sustainability attributes
- Status: The participating brand must be self-owned by a US resident and the entrant must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. The product being submitted can be new to Amazon, or have been listed in Amazon’s online store for under 4 years.
- Size: This program is designed to promote businesses that have generated less than $5 million in gross merchandise sales annually.
