The grant program is designed to address the economic hardships that Johnson County small businesses experienced during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program is open to all Johnson County small businesses (with at least one and no more than 50 full-time employees) who can verify significant revenue loss (of 25% or greater) during the period of January 2019 to December 2021.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a grant, your small business must meet the following criteria:
- Have been located in Johnson County, KS in 2019 and must still be located in Johnson County as shown on a lease agreement, rental agreement, mortgage statement, or utility bill.
- Have at least one full-time employee and no more than 50 full-time employees as demonstrated via an employee roster.
- Have documented proof of a 25% revenue loss when comparing 2019 revenue to 2021 revenue as shown on company federal tax returns.
- Johnson County small businesses, including childcare facilities, will be able to apply for a Johnson County Small Business Recovery grant.
