These grants are offered to help individual artists take the next step in their artistic development.
The Community Foundation established the Art Ventures Fund to acknowledge the important role the arts play in bringing people together through shared cultural experiences. In the same way a community foundation reflects the values of a region, the arts broadly embrace and include all citizens. With diversity, equity and inclusion as guiding principles, The Community Foundation is distinctly proud of the Art Ventures Fund and the artists who have been recognized for creating these important cultural experiences for all.
Funding Information
The maximum grant request is $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- At least 18 years old
- Legal residents of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam or St. Johns County, and have resided in one of these counties for at least 12 months at the time of application
- Requesting funding for activities which take place December 15, 2023 – June 15, 2025. No grant funds may be requested for expenditures which occur prior to December 15, 2023
Applicants may NOT be:
- Students enrolled in an art-related degree program, or planning to pursue a degree in the coming year
- Curators, promoters, presenters or festival organizers. Eligible applicants are the artists themselves
- A recipient of a 2022 Art Ventures grant. Due to the high demand for grants, artists may not receive grants in consecutive years, and are only eligible to three Individual Artist grants in a lifetime.
