Goals
- Empower BIPOC residents of East Portland to put forward their own visions and solutions rather than depending on agencies and those in power.
- Increase direct access to funds to community
- Further efforts in greening East Portland, giving residents more access to greener spaces
- Implement a restoration/conservation project in East Portland
Funding
- There is a total of $25,000 to disperse amongst community projects
- There will be 3 small grants of $5,000 for greening projects
- There will be 1 grant of $10,000, dedicated specifically to a conservation/restoration project
Requirements
- All projects must take place in East Portland/the Jade District.
- All projects must center and be led by BIPOC residents of East Portland
- All projects must center greening East Portland (ex: backyard habitat certification, community garden, tree planting)
- Must be a resident of East Portland
APANO support these projects
APANO will be providing resource and technical support for all project groups/individuals. There will be monthly office hours for check-ins, outreach, questions, and implementation assistance.
