NDDPI is providing funding for new or expanding summer educational camps/learning experiences that will provide evidence-based academic enrichment opportunities for students who may have endured learning loss due to the disruptions in education caused by the COVID19 pandemic. Funds cannot supplant existing funding for current events. Events must occur during the summer months.
The funding source of the Summer Academic Enrichment Grant is the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER)

- The maximum grant award will be $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible recipients are community-based organizations, public and tribal schools/districts, city or county government agencies, for-profit, non-profit organizations, or a consortium of two or more such agencies, organizations, or entities.
- Preference will be given to applicants that have established summer camps that have been in operation for 3 or more years, will serve students who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, and/or serve in an area that is geographically unique from other past awarded DPI educational grant opportunities.
