The Mission of the Snohomish County Arts Commission is to promote artistic diversity, expand access to arts education, support local artists, and encourage an understanding of cultural expression. Through the arts’ ability to foster empathy and respect, our communities grow, become closer to each other and their environment.
Goals of the Arts Commission are to celebrate and promote a diversity of cultural expression; to broaden the definition of art and culture; to provide easy access to arts and education; to connect artists and communities; to support local artists, and to form strong partnerships.
Projects originated by, for, and/or with marginalized populations such as Black, Brown, and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), LGTBQ+, disabled, rural, and/or first-time applicants receive priority consideration.
Funding Information
Snohomish County Arts and Culture Grants reimburse project expenses using County Percent for the Arts Funds. Applicants may apply for multiple projects, but reimbursements are limited to $2,000 per project, and all projects must be completed by Dec. 31, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- Public agencies and 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations can apply directly, or as apply as fiscal sponsors for individual project awards.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
