State: Minnesota
City: Selected Cites
Township: Webster
Type of Grant: Grant
Deadline: 03/22/2023
Size of the Grant: $1,000 – $25,000
Details:
United Way funds the most critical human needs in Rice County in three areas: Education, Health and Economic Mobility (aka financial stability and basic needs). They also aim to:
- Help level the playing field so all Rice County residents, regardless of income, race, religion, gender or sexual preference, have equal opportunities to better their lives and contribute to others.
- Help people take steps toward stability and independence.
This year they have an early childhood reading focus area. In addition to their three grant areas, they are looking to fund programs that help children prepare for kindergarten through reading-readiness and/or increasing the number of children reading at grade level by the end of third grade – two key benchmarks of future success in school and in life.
