Program Goals
- To have a positive impact on the quality of life in community by fostering cooperation, advocacy, marketing, education, and stewardship of public art that will create public understanding of the social and economic value of art in the community
- To integrate various forms of public art into all areas of Lafayette to enhance the image of the city and reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of the community.
Funding Information
This is a competitive grant, projects ranging from $1,000-$1,500 are preferred, and the Public Art Committee (PAC) encourages newcomers.
Eligible Applicants
- Applicants or project coordinators must eighteen years or older.
- All projects must occur in Lafayette.
- Artists and arts groups outside of Lafayette are welcome to apply for a project within Lafayette city limits.
