Grant Goal
To award grants of up to $3,000 to community building projects carried out by resident-led groups to address issues they identify as important to them. CCNYC grant making focuses on supporting projects that improve neighborhood life, strengthen local leadership, and scale community partnerships. Grassroots leaders, especially in low-income communities, know and have what it takes to roll up their sleeves and make change to boost civic engagement, neighborhood wealth, and community health.
Eligibility Criteria
A ‘No’ response to any of the questions below = Ineligible
- Community group (>2 volunteers involved)
- Within one of the five boroughs of NYC
- Nonprofit or grassroots volunteer groups, not profit-generating entity
- Budget under $150,000 (schools are exempt)
- Not promoting religious, political and any other ideology
- Not a chapter or affiliate of a larger organization.
