Projects must:
- Provide a tangible and measurable public benefit to our environment and community
- Include at least a 20% match for eligible project expenses (Meaning you must contribute matching funds, volunteer hours, or staff time equal to at least 20% of your total grant funds)
- Be completed within 2023
The City will prioritize projects that:
- Address one or more of four priority areas:
- Prepare their community for climate change impacts
- Work toward a zero waste Shoreline
- Protect and restore our natural habitats
- Reduce fossil fuel use in their cars and buildings
- Have not received funding from this program in previous years
- Are from individuals or organizations who have not yet received an Environmental Mini-Grant
- Feature an active partnership with a Shoreline organization, such as a community group, school, neighborhood association, or business.
