This program is made possible with the support of the Maryland State Arts Council. Project Grants support — in whole or in part — specific arts projects that demonstrate originality, vision, and benefit or interest to the community. Grant awards support projects for organizations and community groups that work in a wide array of artistic disciplines including performing arts, media arts, visual arts, literary arts, and music arts. This grant program also supports online arts projects.
Funding Information
Applicants may apply for a $5,000 project grant for arts/cultural activities taking place in Baltimore City between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- Arts and/or cultural organizations, and community groups with 501(c)(3) status located in Baltimore City, Maryland.
- Cultural organizations/community groups that utilize a 501(c)(3) fiduciary organization.
Applicants MUST
- Be a designated 501(c)(3) arts and cultural organization and/or community group with an annual operating budget less than $300,000.
- 501(c)(3) arts and cultural organizations and/or community groups that have been operating for more than two (2) years.
- Provide either Independently Certified Audited or Reviewed Financial Statements for FY20 and FY21 for their annual budget.
- Have a Certificate of Good Standing certifying that the applicant is a registered nonprofit corporation in good standing in the State of Maryland.
