This program is intended to support collaboration and partnerships between community-based organizations (CBOs) and neighborhood organizations to increase diverse public participation through project development and implementation, engaging historically underrepresented residents meaningfully and effectively on policies and programs that impact them and in decision-making with a focus on furthering equity.
Funding Information
There is $750,000 available in 2022, which will be divided into two categories according to the applicant’s organizational budget.
- Requests for up to $20,000 from organizations with annual budgets between $0 – $150,000.
- Requests for up to $50,000 from organizations with annual budgets between $0 – $300,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Partnership Engagement Fund is available to community-based organizations that are partnering with recognized neighborhood organizations to further the City’s goal: “The people of Minneapolis will be socially connected, healthy and safe.”
- Funding is available for new projects or to expand existing programs. Proposals for general operations funding or funding to maintain an existing program are not eligible.
- Community-based organizations must operate exclusively for charitable or educational purposes. For-profit organizations are not eligible for this funding program.
