The micro-grant is designed to support community groups’ efforts to prevent crime and violence in Fayetteville. Grant awards are limited to the areas of the City that have high or recent spikes in violent crime. The program offers local groups and non-profits micro-grant opportunities, coupled with capacity-building training, to increase crime reduction activities and build the City’s local non-profit capacity.
Funding Information
- The total allocation for the first of four rounds is $50,000. Maximum award amount for the first round of funding is $1,500 or $5,000 if associated with a nonprofit.
Eligibility Criteria
This is a “low barrier” grant program intended to allow community members to apply and access grant funding (YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A NON-PROFIT TO APPLY). For-profit enterprises will not be considered. The program will use a “capacity building” design to increase community group impact, the non-profit sector’s capacity, and grow grassroots organizations. This program will hold grantee organizations accountable for their budget, program actions, and measurable outcomes.
