The County of San Luis Obispo is looking to fund activities that address homelessness and housing insecurity in San Luis Obispo County such as street outreach, emergency shelter operations, case management services, and permanent housing solutions.
Eligible Funding Areas
Applicants may for funding for the below activities, including but not limited to:
- Homelessness prevention and shelter diversion
- Service coordination, including access to workforce, education, and training programs
- Rapid rehousing
- Rental assistance
- Supportive services that allow people to obtain and retain housing
- Street outreach to people experiencing homelessness
- Operation and capital costs for navigation centers and emergency shelters
- Creation of permanent and transitional housing opportunities and innovative housing solutions.
Funding Information
The County of San Luis Obispo 2024 Housing & Homelessness Funds are made up of a collection of grant programs, including the following:
- $105,059 in FY2023 State Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program funds,
- $2,918,025.63 in Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Round 3 (HHAP-3) funds,
- $1,734,767.51 in Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Round 4 (HHAP-4) funds,
- $149,723 in Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program 2020 funds,
- $175,715 in Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program 2021 funds,
- $88,769 in Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program 2022 funds, and
- $328,924 in HOME American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) Program funds.
There is a total $5.5 million in funding available to local homeless service and housing providers in this round of funding opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants shall be defined as local governments or private non-profits that have a Unique Entity ID number, an active registration in SAM, and are able to comply with all ESG regulations.
