The intent of this program is to facilitate (1) adoption of productivity-enhancing processes or technology and (2) development of new and innovative products by small- and medium-sized manufacturers in Illinois.
Funding Information
- Total Funding Available: $1,000,000
- This grant program is utilizing state funds appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly as indicated in Public Act 102-0698. Total amount of funding expected to be award through this NOFO is $1,000,000 and the Department anticipates providing one award for that amount.
- Allowable grantee expenditures under this opportunity will include subawards, staff wages and benefits, contractual costs, and any indirect costs.
- Anticipated start date for awards is April 2023.

An entity must be registered in the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) Grantee Portal, at the time of grant application. The portal will verify that the entity:
- Has a valid FEIN number
- Has a valid UEI number
- Has a current SAM.gov registration
- Is not on the Federal Excluded Parties List
- Is in Good Standing with the Illinois Secretary of State, as applicable
- Is not on the Illinois Stop Payment list (verified once entity is registered in GATA Grantee Portal); and
- Is not on the Department of Healthcare and Family Services Provider Sanctions list
