The purpose of this Request for Application is to enter into sub-grant with private or community organizations located in the state of Arkansas to procure direct services which are innovative and creative as a demonstration project addressing TANF goals . This project shall establish one (1) subgrant to provide Youth Development Services in the state of Arkansas to work with qualifying young people, ages 6-18 from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances.
Programs shall focus on prevention and remediation of at-risk behaviors through alternative positive and productive enrichment activities, such as, but not limited to:
- Academic achievement
- Job skills
- Work based learning
- Civic participation and community involvement
- Reducing risky behaviors such as sexual activities, drug use, and criminal behavior
Funding Information
- The anticipated period shall be from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.
- The initial term of a resulting subgrant will be for one (1) year. Upon mutual agreement between the applicant and the agency, the subgrant may be renewed for up to three (3) additional one-year terms or portions thereof contingent upon appropriation of funding and approvals.
- Total subgrant term, including any amendments and/or possible extensions, not to exceed four (4) consecutive years.
- The applicant may qualify to receive a grant award not to exceed $1,000,000.
