Details:
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) can be used to fund activities that meet a national objective and that are eligible for CDBG funding. Projects must comply with CDBG program regulations (24 CFR Part 570) and meet one of HUD’s national objectives listed below:
- Benefit to low-and moderate-income (LMI) persons;
- Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums blight; and
- Meet a need having a particular urgency (e.g. disaster).
This program provides grants for neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing, expand economic opportunities, and/or improve community facilities and services. All projects and programs must principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons.
Goals
- Goal I: Improve Affordable Housing Opportunities for Lower-Income Individuals and Households
- Goal II: Improve Community Infrastructure, Public Facilities and Local Economies
- Goal III: Reduce Homelessness and Support Priority Public Services.
Funding Information
The estimated funding allocation for 2024 is $550,000 of which approximately $440,000 will be available for eligible projects.
