The objective of this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to obtain Technical Services to enhance Conservation Technical Assistance and Farm Bill Program Delivery across Maine, focusing on climate change mitigation, equity, and urban agriculture.
Maine NRCS would like to receive proposals related to one or more of the topic areas below for Conservation Planning and Implementation of Technical Assistance:
- Cropland Conservation
- Implementation Conduct outreach and/or provide technical assistance to eligible cropland owners to implement conservation practices. Special consideration will be given for proposals that support organic planning.
- Forestry Implementation
- Conduct outreach and/or provide technical assistance to eligible forest landowners and producers to implement forestry conservation practices on small acreage.
- Wildlife Habitat Enhancement
- Conduct outreach and/or provide technical assistance to eligible forestry landowners and producers to restore, enhance, and create habitat for wildlife species with an emphasis on at‐risk/declining wildlife species and associated habitats.
- Agricultural Viability

- Conduct outreach to landowners and planning assistance to eligible landowners for agricultural easements which prevent conversion of productive working lands to non‐ agricultural uses.
