ArtsFairfax will distribute $170,000 in Pandemic Recovery Grants to both established and emerging arts and culture groups. The funding will prioritize but not be limited to the following criteria:
- Organizations that have not received County recovery funds previously; BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) organizations as determined by mission, leadership and community served; and Organizations that serve arts participants and audiences in economically disadvantaged areas of the County.
Goals of the Pandemic Recovery Grant Program
Through the Pandemic Recovery Grant Program, ArtsFairfax seeks to:
- Provide support for established and emerging arts organizations adversely affected by the pandemic.
- Contribute to the recovery of the arts sector in Fairfax County.
- Help sustain arts organizations that have not received County recovery funds previously.
- Support organizations led by BIPOC staff, presenting BIPOC artists, and /or serving BIPOC participants.
- Support organizations that serve arts participants and audiences in underserved and economically disadvantaged areas of the County.

This grant is limited to small and medium organizations with budgets under $500,000.
Criteria
Nonprofit arts organizations based in Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, or the City of Falls Church are eligible to apply.
