- For organizations based in Linn County:
- If less than two years old (based on IRS letter of determination)
- If operating budget is less than $5 million, may apply for capacity-building projects.
- If more than two years old (based on IRS letter of determination):
- If operating budget is less than $5 million, may apply for general operating costs or capacity-building projects.
- If operating budget is between $5 million – $20 million, may apply for capacity-building projects.
- If less than two years old (based on IRS letter of determination)
- For organizations based outside of Linn County:
- If more than two years old (based on IRS letter of determination) and with operating budget less than $20M, may apply for the Linn County portion of capacity-building projects.
Ineligible Organizations – General Operating Support
- Organizations with a core religious mission
Ineligible Activities – Capacity-Building Projects
- Fundraising events and activities
- Program-specific staff training
- Travel out of the region
- Staff salary costs except when costs are directly related to project implementation
- Religious activities or efforts supporting an organization’s core religious mission
- Expenses that have occurred or will occur during the grant review process
